About UsThe SVVA decided several years ago that bringing CPR and First Aid training to our community was an important step forward to having a Heart Safe Community. Our crews arrive on emergency scenes too many times to find a people who have suffered sudden cardiac arrests and received little or no early help. This is usually because no bystanders have received formal CPR training and those who have the training are worried about forgetting steps. It was decided that we should try and teach as many members of our community CPR and First Aid. It is our hope that members of our community will act in times of need to keep each other safe while at home, around town, and at the workplace.

Our classes are taught at minimal pricing by volunteer instructors who give their own time to bring this important education to our community. Our members and instructors recognize the importance of early CPR and want that training available to all members of this community who are open to the idea that they can make a difference in someone else's life at a time of need.
